I’m a Registered Dietitian in women’s health, focused on PCOS and hormonal balance.

I work back from the symptom to the thing driving it. With PCOS that is usually insulin, and food is one of the few levers that moves insulin from one day to the next.

Snack ideas

PCOS snacks I recommend

Hungry between meals? Skip the biscuits and soda. These are everyday Ghanaian snacks, in portions that work.

  • A heap of dried tiger nuts

    Tiger nuts

High in fibre, so they keep you full, and they bring zinc too.

  • Halved boiled eggs dusted with ground pepper

    Kosua ne meko

Boiled eggs with pepper. One or two is enough.

  • A ripe pawpaw cut in half on a banana leaf

    Pawpaw

One of my go-to fruits. Good for your gut and keeps you regular.

Before you book

One reading, not a verdict. For adults 18 and over (children’s BMI is read on growth charts). Nothing you type leaves your browser.
